Consumer ReviewWe booked the holiday from the next Escape. We stayed in the Hauza Beach Hotel. The sport centre in the hotel they mentioned is still building. The Zoo is not opened. The entertainment they mentioned was 4 nights in a week. They only hold dancing for the children in the open theatre at night. The temperature over there was 43 degree. The heat just made you to stay indoor. No entertainment for adult.
We went to snorkeling by boat through the local rep. We paid £30.00GB each for the trip. The trip was a good sailing. But, I paid £20 Eygpt pound for a mask which was broken on the tube. It made me into trouble when I was using it snorkeling. A staff from the boat told me it has had happened so many times. He lend me his own mask. I made a complained to the office when I returned the mask. They said I should have had checked it before I used it. I told them I was the first time came to sharm and the first time do snorkeling. They refused refund it nor apology.
It was a very scary experience for me. I hope other people won’t encounter my experience. The centre I hire the mask to me for snorkeling is Diver Land. Read More

Consumer ReviewWhat a wonderful hotel to stay in. We were uncertain as to the suitability of it but we read a few good things online……..the hotel was great for the kids and we hardly saw them as they were being looked after really well (and patiently) by the young(ish) girl in charge of children’s entertainment. We spent many an hour sunning and lounging like lizards by the pool. Frequent trips to the bar were in order, lovely vodka orange juice, with FRESH orange juice! The beach was just a short walk away and was a nice change. Holidaying here made me wonder why on earth anyone lives in the UK… Read More

Consumer ReviewStayed at this hotel and travelled with Thompson Holidays from the 19th Sept – 3rd Oct 2008.  I got severe stomach cramps and the runs from day 3 for the rest of the holiday. My fella got it a few days after me and he is Mr Iron Guts! Two nights I actually thought I was going to pass out as my tummy was that bad and I cried on the last night cause I was so upset about it all!  We could not go on any of the trips or into the town cause we had to know there was a toilet near us all the time within running distance as we were only getting about a 30 second warning if you know what I mean!!!  A few nights he was up all night with it as well but I only had it during the day thank god!  Complained to the rep on the last night cause it’s not got enough for the amount of money we spent to go there! She didnt think it was anything to do with the hotel though!  I tried to publish this exact same review on the Tompson website but they have not published it – what does that tell you? Read More

    FlyBE, BE4

Consumer ReviewThe flight was turned around before landing because the craft was unsuitable for landing in the weather. FlyBE failed to put on an aircraft that was able to make the journey. The craft returned to Birmingham and I had to wait over 12 hours for a replacement flight to be put on. FlyBE seem to think that this kind of delay is acceptable and no compensation was given. Lord Bryon Hotel | Ischia Forio | Italy | Holiday Hotel Reviews

    Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Consumer ReviewI booked a one week holiday to Italy Ischia with solitair. The hotel was Lord Bryon. The hotel food was appalling uncooked pasta, bloody veal. Stale bread offered at evening meal and breakfast.  Oranges and apples from breakfast basket, offered as evening meal dessert altertnative. I paid half board, but had to eat my evening meal else where.Spending more money on food as the hotel was dreadful, un eatable.
Air-conditioning did not work in my bedroom. Rooms next door to me had cockroaches and damp.  I was counting the days to go back to the uk.On the plane back to uk I ate my plane food like a woman starved for a week.  I wrote a complaint letter to solitair, and received a patronising reply.I will never travel with solitair again. Consumer ReviewStayed in July this year. Like most people we was put in the basement which was a disgrace, considering we booked this as a honeymoon, and we never got any of the free gifts for a honeymoon stay as the brochure stated, and the brochure also states that all rooms have poolside view. This is NOT the case! The next morning we complained and was moved to a room overlooking the pool, but ALL arriving british tourists was sent to the basement. By the time we left after a fortnight EVERY basement room was occupied with brits, and every upper room was occupied with Turks. Read More
