Such topics include how many people take traditional package holidays or DIY holidays; how many have holiday complaints; how many suffer illness; whether they have resolved their holiday complaints; how they got on in court, whether they were offered their rights for flight delay, denied boarding or cancellation under 261/2004. In October 2007, HolidayTravelWatch submitted its findings and recommendations to the EU Commission on the Package Travel Directive. Following that report, the EU parliament adopted a resolution calling for a ‘renewed’ EU Tourism Policy.
