Issue 3 of our Travel-Zine launches our Campaign to highlight the threat to Consumer Rights, principally against the Package Travel Regulations. We ask the Government to urgently review and amend the Regulations to take into account the Court of Appeal Decision as to what constitutes a ‘Package’. We further propose that if the Government cannot act on the Regulations, then they should urgently introduce a logo system whereby travel consumers can readily identify which holiday has the relevant consumer protections attached.

HTW has noted that amongst the submissions to the Committee on Toxicity (COT) it has been suggested that the symptoms highlighted by crew and passengers were akin to the condition of hyperventilation.
HTW has for many years received reports from concerned holiday makers or independent travellers as to the safety of their aircraft, ship or boat, train or road transport.
