The Treasury Select Committee have produced their report into Travel Insurance and Regulation and recommend Regulation for this important financial product. Volume One covers details of their summary and conclusions, Volume Two covers submissions made by interested parties, including the Transcript of the Oral Evidence given to the Committee, both volumes contain contributions from HolidayTravelWatch. This issue is very important to the Consumer, particularly where they suffer problems whilst on holiday. Many holiday complaints involve reports of holiday illness/sickness, holiday accidents, changes to holidays, flight changes and poor customer service, sometimes creating difficulties when real assistance is needed. The role of Travel Insurance should not be underestimated.

HTW has noted that amongst the submissions to the Committee on Toxicity (COT) it has been suggested that the symptoms highlighted by crew and passengers were akin to the condition of hyperventilation.
HTW has for many years received reports from concerned holiday makers or independent travellers as to the safety of their aircraft, ship or boat, train or road transport.
